Neuroscience has demonstrated our responses to life and our imaginations are literally changing our minds - a process known as neuroplasticity . In Solution Focused Hypnotherapy this understanding is utilised creatively supporting the Client’s commitment to change. We all know on a conscious level how to follow a weight control plan, do our best in a job interview or attend a dental appointment. We also know on a conscious level the wisdom of carrying out these actions and yet we do not always take the action we desire. Solution Focused Hypnotherapy with NLP may be used to aid the release of unhelpful conscious or subconscious patterns and the creation of more helpful thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Clients are taught to understand how their minds work in the context of the ancient fight, flight or freeze response which kept our primitive ancestors safe. This information is both enlightening and empowering for Clients when they understand they can train their minds to work in ways which are far happier, calmer and more productive. Hypnotherapy and psychotherapy work together to help you define and make your chosen changes at a conscious and subconscious level allowing you to walk towards your new horizon with ease and confidence. Solution Focused Brief Therapy forms the core of my approach with some NLP techniques and CBT techniques and information on occasions. The client is guided to explore their own potential and to identify problem solving strategies with hypnosis being used to create changes with ease and rapidity.
